Go Beyond MLS: “ePerks” Do Not Understand The Concept Of An “Olive Branch”

  • Chris Brown · 1 year ago
I remain in your corner my friend, I I have donated to the cause and posted a blog on http://www.mortgagechiliblog.com on your behalf... I can only hope that my small blog can do a little in helping your defense fund.

    Chris,
Thank you. I can tell you how much I appreciate it.
  • Irina Netchaev · 1 year ago
Wow... this is unbelievable! You definitely have my support.
First, I am canceling my eperks membership - would never work with a company that goes after fellow bloggers and associates.
Secondly, I will be donating to the fund.
Third, I will write a post on this to spread the word.
    Hang in there Vlad!

Vlad, here's a link to the post - http://activerain.com/blogsview/682203/EPerks-g... - added it to ActiveRain - a larger audience.

Also, I just checked and thankfully I was confusing ePerks with another company so I do not have a membership or an affiliation with them. Whoopie! Wouldn't want to be supporting a company like that!

    Irina,

Thank you. Words can't express my gratitude.

    Alex,

Thank you. Freedom of speech is not free after all. But it sure is worth
    fighting for.

Blog World Expo takes place next weekend in Las Vegas. Sounds like this shoud be an important topic of conversation. I don't know enough about it to initiate the discussion, but Vlad, if you have many friends attending, then perhaps some of them can help spread the word on this.

    Hang in there!

    Jeannine,

I wish my "voice" was equal to that of Andy Bear, Aaron Wall or Greg Swann. However since this entire thing did span out of a "paid review" bloggers out there should definitely know how dangerous paid reviews really can be.

I am really not looking for publicity here. And I am not going to write an "e-book" about it, as some suggested in the past. I just would hate to see any other blogger going through this sort of bullying.
  • Chris Brown · 1 year ago
An e-book that was informative for the future blogger, might not be a bad idea dude... i wouldn;t discount the idea so quickly!

Vlad, I have donated and made several posts about it on Active Rain, REW and my blog here: http://www.oak-lawn-il.com/real-estate-blog-bei...

I also wrote a follow-up post on that blog.
  • Vlad Zablotskyy · 1 year ago
Thank you Judy for your support!

    Vlad,

I just donated. I will get a post up about this. Perhaps in my small way I can help this go viral. I what I have read around the net E-perks sucks. I hope they crash and burn in court.

I didn't see it in the suit but I thought I read it earlier. Is ePerks trying to shut your site down or have comments removed? You are offering to allow comments on your site. When someone comments they are accepting your offer. The valuable ink in return is consideration for the license to use the comment. Eperks attempts to remove such comments is a tort "interference with contract" Where do I sign up to sue them? Heck they have more money than you do!

Good luck with your case against eperks. I am confident you will come out on top.

    Bill,
Thanks for stopping by and big fat thank you for your support.

It's not much due to a lot of medical bills lately :-) but I hope it demonstrates my support in some small measure. I'll get around to blogging about it too as soon as I can. Good luck with your fight Vlad - I can't imagine how stressful it is for you and yours but admire your determination to stand up for yourself and bloggers in general.

The Bill of Rights protects our Constitutionally guaranteed rights from government. Since ePerks is not the government, the answer to your question is, "no." Freedom of speech does not exist in this case. Pick up a civics book.

    Thomas,

So public participation and California's anti-SLAPP regulations are based on what?

By the way I never claimed I am a lawyer.
